May 08th, 2001....
We are catching brown trout, rainbows, and some
teen age king salmon off of Port Bay. The water
has been clear on the beach, so we are fishing in
30'- 250'of water in front of our port. most high
colors of red are working well. Downriggers with
norther king spoons have been our lures of choice
because the bait fish in there mouths are quite
large. the hits are coming 8'- 50' down.
while trying to fish the beach, watch out for the
smallmouth bass!!!! they are on the spown right now and I don't have any stick baits without bight
marks on them.
well good luck!!!!
remember to take the family along too!!!!!
Capt. Frank and Capt. Charlie
